Coffee Grinders

A quality grinder matters more than your machine. We only stock burr grinders from manufacturers who understand particle distribution and retention.

Burrs
Flat vs Conical Burrs Both styles available. Flat burrs for clarity, conical for body. We explain the difference in person.
Adjustment
Stepless Adjustment Micro-adjust your grind size for espresso dialling. Essential for single-origin light roasts.
Dosing
Timed or Manual Dosing Grind by time for consistency or single-dose for freshness. We stock grinders for both workflows.

Common Questions

Do you offer installation in Scotland and Wales? Toggle

Yes, we cover mainland UK including Scotland, Wales and Northern England. For addresses in the Highlands or islands, delivery times extend by 2-3 working days. Installation is included for orders over £2,000 regardless of location.

What water should I use in my espresso machine? Toggle

London and South East tap water is quite hard, which causes limescale buildup. We recommend either filtered water through a BWT or Brita system, or bottled water with mineral content between 50-150 ppm. Avoid pure distilled water as it lacks minerals needed for proper extraction.

How often does an espresso machine need servicing? Toggle

For home use making 2-4 drinks daily, annual servicing keeps things running smoothly. This includes descaling, gasket inspection, and lubricating the group head. Commercial machines need quarterly attention minimum, depending on volume.

Can I return a machine if espresso making is not for me? Toggle

We offer 30-day returns on unused equipment in original packaging. For machines that have been used, we accept returns within 14 days subject to a 15% restocking fee covering deep cleaning and inspection. Bean-to-cup machines excluded due to hygiene requirements.

Do you sell refurbished or ex-demo machines? Toggle

Occasionally we have ex-display units and trade-ins available at reduced prices. These go quickly and are listed on our services page when available. All refurbished machines carry 12-month warranty from us.

A Bit About Us

Crematica started in 2019 when two former hospitality professionals grew tired of recommending equipment to friends only to see them struggle with poor after-sales support. We decided to build something different - a shop where buying a machine is just the beginning of the relationship.

Our Renfrew showroom sits on the outskirts of Glasgow, easy to reach by car with free parking. Inside you will find working machines from most major brands. We encourage visitors to bring their own beans and spend time pulling shots before making decisions.
